These HyFire IIIA ignitions from Mallory are high energy inductive storage systems, developed to increase the performance of all electronic and breaker point ignition systems. They increase ignition output, extend rpm capability, improve starting, and have a longer and more sustained burn time than multiple-spark systems. They're designed to eliminate the need for a ballast resistor, and extend points life by eliminating the inductive (current) kickback that causes point burn. Mallory also included a bypass feature to allow you to easily revert back to standard ignitions. They're designed to trigger from any Mallory electronic distributors, OEM electronic ignitions, magnetic pickup distributors, or crank triggers. Their compact design and variety of available wiring harnesses make installation and mounting quick and easy.
