MSD has designed these superior programmable ignitions for 4-cylinder engines with distributorless ignitions. The heart of the Programmable DIS-2s is a microprocessor that reviews, analyzes, and manages every trigger signal, and can handle 15 million instructions per second! Their CD circuits and state-of-the-art IGBT coil drivers work together to deliver a potent spark with 190 millijoules of energy. Below 3,300 rpm, a series of sparks burn in the cylinder for 20 degrees, producing a smooth idle with great throttle response. You can control all of this spark energy through an array of timing and rpm programs. The MSD Programmable DIS-2 ignitions' programmable features include: Individual cylinder timing, launch timing curve, boost timing curve, multi-step retard, gear rpm and retards, and three rev limiters. These features can be programmed from a PC with MSD's Pro-Data+ software or with the available hand-held monitor.
